You ever watch Texas play Vanderbilt?
No. Because the last game was in 1928

I'm pretty sure Scrooster is old enough to have witnessed SC beating Texas in person.

I'll be honest. As a Texas fan, I wouldn't be crazily upset if the SEC forced Texas to be rivals with LSU instead of A&M, solely for the trip to NOLA area every two years.

Anyway, doesn't LSU get a pass for being the most brutal fanbase to all opposing teams?

Sounds like the beginning of a new rivalry to me. We are all witnesses now.

We are the only instate SEC school in Louisiana idiot. Bama/Auburn, MSU/OM, Tennessee/Vandy. They tried to manufacture a rivalry with Arky and TAM, 2 most recent SEC additions. Who are we suppose to play Tulane? Really?

Maybe we should just count 2000-present? I’m sure a&m has a winning record in that span, right? Right???!?

How about something with an objectively more competitive landscape? How about a couple of years after it wasn’t a case of a massive state school in a massive state effectively playing The Citadel or an academy?

Since the early 70’s, the series is basically even.

The wonder is not that it was so lopsided before then. It’s that Texas EVER lost those games.

After LSU beat you guys at home in the midst of turning the AC off in the locker room and throwing the band up in the upper deck. Looks like the good guys prevailed. Rivalry denied.

Imagine being the fan of a team that pays coaches to recruit for a different school.

You’re such a fricking pussy. Arkansas doesn’t have a terrible football brand. Arkansas has a good football brand, despite our recent struggles lately. Yes, it’s about ratings so of course they want LSU-OU at that spot.

Ratings > Rivalries

No, it doesn’t. No history between the two schools even with their locations. Arkansas fans would much rather play LSU or Texas in that spot. If anything, Missouri should be playing Kansas there.

From an outsider. I’d rather have LSU- Arkansas, Missouri-Oklahoma for that weekend.

Nothing says “Thanksgiving Weekend” like a football game between historical rivals like…
…LSU and Oklahoma.

Imagine being a charter member of a conference with nobody who wants to build their season-ending game around playing you.

This is just......a bizarre, non-sensical blathering. Typical senseless drivel, like their cheers.

And OU will be a far more competitive season-ending game than our previous ones.

Texas - Arkansas is usually a good game to watch for opposing fans.
