They belonged. Both of these games just reinforces my position that we need less teams not more in the playoffs.

If by “much closer than the actual score”, you mean it felt like Alabama was beating Cincy by 3 touchdowns in the first half, and 4 touchdowns in the second half, then you are correct.

I would have liked to see Cincy v Michigan as well for third place, and think Cincy would have beaten the wolverines.

Auburn played Bama closer, and they didn't come close to sniffing the playoffs. If Cincinnati was in the SEC, they'd be a middle-tier team, maybe even not that.
