Ah, nepotism.

Hey to Smoke Laval.

A bummer FSU didn't beat Miami in that title game in 1999 or so. I think it was a 2-1 score.

Edited: it was 6-5.

UF had one fluke title run in 17 and is a nouveau rich program that thinks it’s a blue blood despite being irrelevant for most of its existence.

Just like it’s football program after spurrier made them relevant for the first time in 90 years in the 90

That was the best UF football had ever been and Bowden still made them his bitch.

I don’t know how people even write stuff like this. Maybe if you ignore USCw and their 12 national titles, and 2 others at 6, then you could make the argument. The absurdity is unreal.

Agreed.

It is clearly:

1) USC
2) LSU
3) Texas

Well then youre blind...Texas is arguably the most accomplished with their amount of trips to the CWS. Also I would say SoCal with 12 titles is arguable. Then programs like LSU with 6, Carolina with 2, Vandy with 2, etc are all more accomplished. You made the tournament which is awesome but you won nothing. How you go 44 times in a row and never win is beyond me

*arguably is used to mean that their is some sort of argument for them to be the best. For texas it is CWS appearances, for SoCal it is titles. That said, all the others are more accomplished than FSU, and yeah that includes Florida

I think it has to be one of these two. It just depends on how much you weigh USC’s success under Dedeaux. The sport was very niche back then.

Texas has pretty much been good since the 50’s. Gustafson, Garrido, and even Pierce have gone to the CWS.

Sign of a great program, but you gotta win a championship to make it the next rung.

How would FSU/Mike Martin do in the SEC? They’ve played in a shite conference for decades. Not impressed.

The ACC has 4 of the top 9 national seeds this year. Not a shite conference at all brah.

That's a major overstatement by the writer, in my opinion, noting how FSU has never won a title. Nevertheless, their longstanding winning consistency is a better way of describing the Seminole program that is unmatched in college baseball history.

As for "most accomplished", that belongs to the USC Trojans, winner of 12 CWS titles out of 21 CWS appearances.

what FSU did is mind boggling. Most of the people in this thread weren't alive when their streak started.

The biggest problem on this board; too many diaper-wearers.

Nouveau riche. Don't use fancy phrases incorrectly. Makes you look like a bigger tool than you already are.
