The Horns are back

Manning the savior

Sark the protector of his kingdom on earth

In OP's defense, that is who I thought she was referring to when she posted "don't sleep on our rival from the north."

Are you referring to Kansas?

No offense, but your supposedly awesome recruiting class has maybe two players that would be considered elite. That is the worst per recruit average I've seen out of Austin in quite awhile.

I haven't liked the Texas program (for personal reasons that I shall not divulge further) since the '70's, but I will hold my breath right now and give you a compliment.

I know T.U. will be ready to your credit. As your AD said back in February, they know all the big SEC programs will be converging upon Austin like mass herd of locusts they've never seen before (he mentions how LSU nearly took over Austin).

So, get ready for the SEC, Texas, 'cause the SEC is already ready for y'all. Welcome!

Growing up as a youngster I was a Texas fan because my Dad liked them. Coach Royall was at State in the early 50’s. He was popular with State folks. I well remember the 1969 game of the century when Texas came back from 14-0 to win 15-14. We were big Texas fans.

But when Jackie Sherrill was hired at A&M and then State and I saw how the Texas people acted toward him, I turned against Texas then. They were entitled and did not like losing to A&M and later State back to back (91-92). Ever since then, they have acted like spoiled brats and Austin has turned into a cess pool.

You're first SEC game was against us last year and it wasn't close to competitive.

Honestly I have this weird feeling he's going to be a colossal bust so maybe Texas is the perfect fit for him.

Arch Manning looks mediocre at best on his game film

Basically he looks like how Peyton looked against Florida when he went 0-4 against Spurrier.

Got it.

Most SEC teams do that every game day.

As you can see, nobody special. Only two T100 players in a class of sixteen so far. That is just pathetic

Imagine being Texas and settling for “competitive”

To be fair, they are not “settling” for it.

They are “aspiring” to it.

I think Texas needs to first focus on being mildly competitive in the soft league it is currently in. That would be a HUGE step forward for Mr. Sarkisian and the people of Austin.

Most teams in our league are “highly competitive” when compared with your league.

So you are saying you’ll be average. I agree. You’ll be a middle of the road team here.

If you work really hard for a decade maybe you’ll beat Bama once or twice.

definitely getting some good recruits coming in... however Texas can never fill their classes with good Dline recruits. This is no different than Herman's recruiting and if it doesnt change you will score a bunch but give up more.
