Cunningham got a bonus of $110,000 for making the tournament, which IIRC increases if UNC wins any games in the tournament.
Cunningham does sound really stupid (about as smart as you'd expect a grown man with the name Bubba to sound) when you listen to him. But he's still going to have an impact on the committee since he's the chairman. Especially since the committee apparently doesn't realize how stupid he sounds, and made him the chairman.

It's true. Even if they win the whole darn thing, it doesn't change the fact that they should never have been included. Just like Ole Miss in the 2022 CWS. They didn't deserve the bid, regardless of how it played out. You HAVE to make the regular season mean something. Rewarding failure is now part of our culture though.

Lots of overreaction to one game.. look at Ole Miss’ body of work vs UNC’s. Yes they looked good against SDSU but I trust beards game prep and he will have them ready to play. They haven’t shot like that all year and definitely didn’t do it against quad 1 teams that can defend.
