Caller this morning from Nebraska on Sirius was hilarious with his whine about SEC rankings. Tried to build up Wisconsin while devaluing LSU. Host asked him if he knew that LSU beat Wisconsin on a neutral field this year.

ESPN comment section is full of ball less puss bags. It would be amusing to see a couple of them bring their argument here and get shite on. Keep whining about SEC bias, you salty vaginas.

The committee has opened themselves up for the sometimes deserved criticism by changing the rules/explanations each week. But thinking they lean toward the SEC with only one representative with any ties to the conference is just dumb. In fact, it's the least represented conference in the room.

I'm not sure why Kanell has such a hard on for the SEC, but it goes deeper than just a shtick. He argues passionately against anything SEC....talking about a little brother syndrome!

Let me explain SEC bias to you Southern idiots who are too wrapped up in being fans of a conference more than you are fans of a team (how loser is that?) SEC schools get ranked higher in the preseason. Then during the season, they climb higher than teams from other conferences when they win, and fall less than teams from other conferences when they lose. When they beat an SEC school, who has enjoyed the same exaggerated pre-season ranking, it's seen as a bigger win. So this monster bias feeds itself. Then you have ESPN, a walking conflict of interest, hosting the SEC conference network as a part of its network. And there you have it, idiots........ SEC bias. The good SEC teams are set up for success and protected from failure. That's what bias is.

I do think that FSU fans have a legit gripe.

ESPN comment section...the only thing possibly worse to poll public opinion is Youtube or Washington DC.
Most Big 12 fans understand why MSTATE is #4 and agree.

how? fsu has a very weak schedule, and they're struggling. needed the refs to save them against an all powerful notre dame team. add to that, i believe the committee hates hearing danny kanell whine and cry about it and bingo! fsu just dont look good as far as style points so drop them in the rankings, no problem.

My favorite is when they say that the reason the SEC wins bowl games because teams have to go down South and play in brutal 65F Florida weather

I don't. I had my doubts about the committee, but SO FAR they seem to actually be pretty reasonable with the "eye test" part of this thing. Does FSU really look like the best team in the country? Anyone who's watched a few of their games would say hell no.
And honestly, what does it matter? As long as they're in the final 4 (which they obviously will be if they win out) they should have nothing to complain about.

I can sort of understand how they feel. This whole committee thing is becoming a joke. Alabama is #1 based on beating #1MSU - head to head and all. Yet TCU is 2 spots ahead of a team who beat them and has the exact same record - Baylor. Logic being Baylor has a worse loss because they lost to someone besides TCU.
By that logic should we expect when MSU beats OM and Bama beats AU…MSU then must jump Bama? Their logic says Bama has head to head, but Bama also has a worse loss - OM - who MSU beat on the road.
If this plays out we'll see if the committee is really consistent. Or are they just responding week to week and will come out with a totally different bracket when the season is over.

Cant wait to see the SEC dominate the playoffs just like the BCS. We will still get the same talk every season though.
Maybe, just maybe, if other conferences started putting emphasis on defense and physical football, they could take the best SEC teams every now and then.
FSU was built like an SEC team and played SEC caliber defense. Other teams have refused to do the same thing.

Why is TCU ranked 2 spots ahead of Baylor? Explain the logic there.
