I like LSU and I like corn dogs. I remember sitting next to some very friendy LSU fans at the 2013 game in Athens, and during one of the 30 minute commercial breaks, the main guy starts telling me how much he hates being called corn dogs, and how he doesn't even understand why people call them that, and he says "yall don't what it's like to be called names like that" ...
And I said "Actually, we do... Leghumper, arse-licker, shite-eater...." and he interupts "Ok Ok Ok..."
Then he shared his gallon bag of whiskey with us for the rest of that epic showdown.
The point of the story, in the context of this thread, is there are plenty of LSU fans that still don't like being called corn dogs.
As long as a small fraction don't like it, so will rivals use it as a pejorative.
You must fight to make your whole fanbase accept it, before it will stop.

I would love to see a corndog emoji on this board actually. I've never thought anything negative about corn-dogs. I love them with mustard to be truthful.
They remind me of playing baseball when I was a kid and if we won a game, we got a large coke and a corndog with fries. Good times.
If we lost, we got a small coke and a few laps around the diamond. Not so good times -- so an extra incentive to play good.

We have had about a dozen meals at Sewanee Dining, the cafeteria at The University of the South in Sewanee TN. Mostly self-service, a large selection of locally produced food items, and all you can eat.
One item available near the grill area - corn dogs. I guess those folks at Sewanee are low class.

Sonic has 50 cent corndogs - I love them. They are great when some of you non-pussies show up for fight night. I don't really care what nicknames we are given. Cornholes would be worse.
