No surprise you choose to ignore them, and MU has only had three non bowl seasons since joining the league. For a program of their caliber, that’s pretty good.

Pretty good (if a bit exaggerated) representation of how Arky fans react to Mizzou. They act like they don't care and dismiss the budding rivalry, but if you look at their posting history, it's 70% Mizzou-related.

It will be in rotation with Oklahoma and the Aggies. It may not replace Oklahoma but it will be a huge game with a lot of viewership in the SEC.

Had Arkansas not stopped playing Texas each year after they left the SWC in 92 then it would be a big game.

I was in attendance for the 2020 game at Faurot, that we won at the end with a Mevis FG. I remember walking back to the tailgate and several Arky fans were about 10 ft in front of me. One of them was a little kid, about 10 years old. His shoulders were slumped, his dad's arm around him, he was obviously crying. This brought a smile to my face and a warmth in my heart that I hadn't felt for a while.

Back in 2007, at Arrowhead, I encountered almost the exact same scenario: Mizzou prevailed in an exciting game, heartbroken kid walking in front of me. Except that time I laughed heartily at his red legged punk arse, as I gleefully walked by. I wasn't even that drunk. Just had the overwhelming urge to be an a-hole.

So in my view, it's a rivalry, but longtime Mizzou fans have a hard time thinking of it that way because of how we defined the word "rivalry" for so long, because of those douche canoes to the west of us.

This is typical Dorkowitz shite.

How would fan bases of other teams know how two fan bases feel towards each other that are not their own.

They dont feel the apathy in the stadium when Mizzou comes to Arkansas. They dont see that when Arkansas was playing LSU on black friday fans would give up Thanksgiving to travel but with Mizzou that doesnt happen anymore. Mizzou in football is like playing vandy. We need the conference win, if you win nobody notices and if you lose everyone makes fun of you.

Oh yea. He 100% hates Mizzou -- any time there is a Mizzou thread or especially Arkansas / Mizzou post, he is all up in that. I wouldn't be surprised if he has some sort of Python script to notify him when a post goes up.

It's a rivalry if you each hate each other. It's why Kentucky-Missouri isn't a rivalry even though it seems like we would be. Only Mizzou and Arkansas fans can decide if it's a rivalry. Frankly it seems like a natural fit for one.

Maybe LSU should give more shits. If they did, they might not have lost to Mizzou last time they played.

Not sure how LSU "caring" about your rivalry had any effect on winning or losing that game.

I do consider Arkansas and Missouri to be rivals.

7 unique Hog posters in a Mizzou thread. Nah, it's not a rivalry.

Again on this board it’s fun to make fun of the worst athletic department in the SEC (nobody is close to 2nd).

I said on this board it may be one but outside the board it isn’t and it’s obvious across all levels.

Missouri is above the likes of Vandy and are a solid program but something about beating Texas just makes the season feel much better. Arkansas has a long history with Texas and no other team in the SEC will replace that, no matter how hard they tried in the past with LSU and the boot or Missouri now.

Just being honest here but, when you start using nicknames for the other teams coach, it’s most likely a rivalry of some sort.

How is this a Mizzou thread? You see the title has Arkansas in in right? I mean I hope you can read and understand when a teams name is in the subject they will usually enter the thread.

To spank that @$$ again would mean you did it last year. It was Arkansas who slammed that @$$ (you got in the Endzone for the first and only time with like a minute to go)

Good luck getting to 5 wins this year

Feels more like an Ozarks family feud than a rivalry. Like someone’s been messing with someone else’s sister or stealing from his still or something.

I think on this board there is a nickname for every coach. Does that mean everyone is everybody’s rival?

If you have to ask, it's not a rivalry.

No one questions real rivalries.
