Mexican food and Italian food are... drumroll please... Mexican food and Italian food. We all love it, but this tournament is American Southern food

One of these is not like the other

Mafia in the USA started in Louisiana

Mountain folks in the South have been Italian going back 100's of years.

Mexicans really started invading the US of A starting with Ronnie in 1980.

What would someone named "Cheese Grits" know about southern cuisine?

So New Orleans had Chinatown all the way back to the mid to late 1800's. So is Panda Express considered Southern food?

Is Cuban food considered southern food per Miami?

And Italian food in New York City./Jersey is still called "Italian food." Not some category of American food.

I would like to nominate cheese dip. It was first served in N. Little Rock in 1930 and the annual World Cheese Dip Championship is in Little Rock.
