If you notice the lack of Texas poster in this thread, it’s because none of us really care. The guy was a recruiting coordinator in the NIL era at the university of Texas. That’s not exactly a tough position to fill.

Rumor is that he wanted to come back two years ago but had already signed his contract. His initial contract expired this week. Beats me. Know that he is a good recruiter and he won’t displace Pennington at third base.

Not making anything up. That is why it is called a rumor. Pretty much none of Schloss’s old assistants like him. None of the players that played for him follow when he changes jobs. Those aren’t rumors.
Our players that were here when Schloss left seem pretty excited to have Cain back. Who is the transfer player that is supposed to follow him?

LSU fans always complained about his 3B coaching, it’s clear that was not his strong suit. I know he caught a lot of flack for waving Brayden Montgomery home on the play he broke his ankle.
Other than that he is great at evaluation and recruiting. He was pretty much doing it by himself in Mainieri’s later years at LSU, and he recruited a good portion of the 2023 team.
