Since Auburn wants to make Bert's comments about them.... Mike Dyer is a good example.
Dismissed from Auburn for issues Gus was well aware of, welcomed to Arkansas St. by Gus.
Again in trouble for the same actions ends up in JUCO.
Begs to walk-on to Arkansas for Bert, denied by Bert.

I doubt this highly. I thought Nutt and Gus didnt get along.
Sure they do. Nutt is probably just holding out until Rhett leaves so he can be hired by Gus to do some heppin'.

Gus owes his college career to Houston, without HDN welcoming him to his coaching tree.

That's right. Gus would have been a mere footnote in high school memory had it not been for Houston Dale.

His statement sets him up for criticism when he gets current players who make mistakes as well. As soon as someone is caught with drugs, does he send them packing? They obviously are not the type players he wants. Right? Im not totally against his stance. I am just saying that he did not gain a thing by putting it out there like he did
Not sure if that was clear.

I understand what your saying but what is the difference? If a player is a Thug POS, what does it matter if it is someone you currently have or someone that you are recruiting?
If your a coach basing your stance on "High Moral" players, then it should not matter.
Which is really what my comment was referring to... He should have just said that he evaluates each player and makes the decision on them for whats best for the team
Or some coach talk like that. No need for him to go out on a limb, take a jab at Oklahoma and set himself up

Hired at same time, Gus already has SEC championship. Who gives a shite as long as he wins.

Add 'praise Jesus' to the end of that quote and it would be the most apt Auburn quote of all time.

Whatever, have fun winning 6 games with saints or whatever you think your players are

First of all, a 'transfer' that leaves for drug or criminal offenses has probably already HAD their 'second chances' at their original school.
How many strikes did DGB already have before he was finally booted?

3 strikes ...... That were made public. We don't know if there were other indiscretions that CGP may have known about.

He did say that.
But, its the small tidbits taken out of context put on twitter that has your panties in a bunch.
He was not talking about DGB, OU, Auburn, etc, he was talking about how he will pass over a transfer possibility and why, he has made similar comments about guys in HS who he will not recruit.

I enjoyed the drought of these types of threads while it lasted.
I used to think both sides just liked poking fun back and forth but I have come to realize there are many people who take this "anger" seriously and I wish both sides would stop.
Grindfest is enjoyable since it is good natured ribbing back and forth.
