I never compared Clemson to Arkansas in basketball.
I respoinded to your assertion that Arky is dominant in football and basketball. I give you track, baseball is likely a stretch to some extent as well.
FSU has been one of the best basketball programs the past 10 years and Clemson is not typically an easy out. It has done well against the SEC under Brownell.

Yeah Clemson needs to sit down and pee when compared to the Razorbacks in basketball...

but the ACC is tougher in basketball right?
The SEC has historically been considered pretty weak in terms of skill in basketball.
they got a lot of teams get in last year but UNC and Duke were in the final 4. that's Clemson's reality in bball.
Clemson's ACC basketball schedule is significantly tougher than the typical SEC football schedule in my view.

quote:that excuse might hold weight if you only played ACC teams in the NCAA tournament.. I did miss speak about football.. but Clemson is nowhere near Arkansas in basketball or pretty much any other sport other than football. Let's be real man you're about to join a conference if you your lucky to be invited with Alabama. They will continue to dominate you'll be just like everybody else and hope that the rest of your sports can keep you afloat

Isn't it probable Clemson's recruiting will improve plus it will have more money? Isn't the main negative recruiting done against Clemson based on it not being in the SEC?
I would expect Clemson to lose more in a SEC with Oklahoma and Texas but would it make a difference as far as making the playoffs?
If the playoff expands to 8 teams, you got to think at least 3 SEC superconfernece teams will get in and probably 4, 5, maybe 6 some years. That's the whole point of it. lol

quote:And so will every one else. You just like us will be paid the same amount as Vanderbilt lol. We can at least say we are well rounded after back to back Elite Eights and the # 2 recruiting class in basketball coming in and then in baseball several trips to Omaha in this decade. How is your other programs other than football? Seriously I have no clue? Football is about to become a buzzsaw in my opinion. This new world of mega Conferences we are going to need our other programs to keep us relevant.

Just won the national title in men's soccer this year, the 3rd natty in soccer. only 11 programs or so have 2 or more.
the baseball program has been solid as well.

Trust me you don't want this fanbase anywhere near the conference.

The problem with Clemson is I think it's reasonable to wonder if they have the support to keep up success if Dabo leaves. Was this just their flash in the pan era and a conference will be left holding the wet paper bag that is most of Clemson's history?
Absolutely a valid concern.
Personally I’d rather UNC, UVA, FSU, and then either NC St, Va Tech, or WVU. But I’m also just a guy posting on TogerDroppings and not consulting for the SEC.

Your baseball program blows. It hasnt been relevant for a while, and when it was it arkansas'd harder than Arkansas.
You bitches acted like you were going to leave the ACC with us, then bitched out. No shot we should let you in now.
