Clemson will become another Arkansas, Kentucky, Ole Miss. You had an advantage being in the ACC but that will be nullified once you join the SEC. Arkansas will be fine because we have an overall sports pedigree that we will continue to
dominate in baseball, track, basketball and football.
you had me up until here.

everybody is going to win less if CLemson, FSU, etc moves to the ACC along with Texas and Oklahoma. It is mutually assured destruction to boost the schedule strengh so high the playoff committee will take multiple SEC teams.

quote:Basketball natty was far from a fluke. We were brought to the SEC to challenge Kentucky because no one else could do it. You might want to look up our history in basketball before you talk shite. Also we just went back-to-back Elite Eights..Plus you probably didn't realize that we just brought in one of the top classes in basketball that will challenge for a title again
the national title in basketball has been awhile and probably was bit of a fluke.

Arkansas is a cool state for outdoor stuff but doesn't really seem like a basketball state.
having some solid teams every now and again is different from dominating.

i don't understand the sustained success point given Clemson has the most ACC titles and 3 national titles. how many programs can point to that kind of success.
Because I explicitly said this was about a Clemson without Dabo, which historically had one title and very little sustained success.
And I guarantee you nobody counts ACC titles as much more than cracker jack prizes.

my response was now that Clemson has more national titles and ACC titles, the floor should be higher.
it isn't like Clemson can't hire other good coaches given what they pay Dabo and his staff.
your comment doesn't make sense given many programs in the SEC have not had success like Clemson at any point.

Given those were all under Dabo it seems like you missed the point.

So you expect Duke and UNC to fall off in basketball with different coaches? lol
it's possible but not a great prediction
i've seen several sports pundits refer to Clemson as a blueblood program this past week in the discussions about expansion.
Clemson's last two playoff losses were as bad as it gets. I believe it is probable those teams do better in those games with different coaches. They should have been more competitive. Dabo is a good coach but people seem to ignore his really bad losses because of the two natties.

Clemson would be another guaranteed loss for Arky, so I can see your reasoning.

your last natty and natty appearance are pushing 30 years ago now.
Arkansas is solid in basketball but a stretch to call it dominant.
HOw many SEC titles has it won in the past 20 years? It seems like Kentucky and Florida have been the most consistent SEC programs in bbal.

Do you really feel like this Clemson football run is in any way comparable to those?
Those programs are the Alabama/Ohio State of basketball.

have Duke or UNC been in the Final 4 6 years in a row like Clemson in football?
Despite all the talent coach K has had, he's only won one national title in the past 12 seasons or so. He couldn't even win with Zion. lol

Again, under the one coach that has any consistent success. Which is my entire point.
I'm saying "what does Clemson become after Dabo?" and your response is "Dabo is good!!"
