See all this gamecock hate being posted, I want more of that type of hatred in the SEC. Contempt breeds good football rivalries.

Bring in Clempson and UNC and make them USC’s permanent opponents.

The SEC has historically been considered pretty weak in terms of skill in basketball.

Their fans are complete dickheads. You'd hate them too.

Clemson fans like to stick out their chest like college football started in 2015 but the SEC has a team in South Carolina that according to Forbes is more valuable than Clemson is now.

The state of South Carolina is ranked 23rd (so the middle in population). If they were going to add to a state where they had a team why not a major population center like Florida.

Or better North Carolina (0 current teams) who is number 9 in state population.

People fall for this recency bias perpetuated by Clemson fans that they carry this huge value. They don't. They really don't.

If they want to add UGA as a non conference I am down for it.

I agree wholeheartedly with this. I believe not too far down the road from now that Clemson will fade away back to irrelevancy. They benefitted from essentially no competition playing in a soft ACC. I put it right up there with how Mizzou got their 2 eastern division championships... They benefited from everyone else sucking during the peak of their success.

your opposition to Clemson in the SEC is you think it will help Clemson. i don't think you and others care about the monetary value of a program.

I would prefer for Clemson to be in ACC or go independent. Conference stacking is about rigging the playoffs, in my view. I think most people are going to end up regretting this expansion.

Your baseball program blows. It hasnt been relevant for a while, and when it was it arkansas'd harder than Arkansas.

Hasn't Clemson baseball posted a winning record against SC in recent years....

not to mention the all time series lead

You want to invite the trashiest fan base in all of college sports to the SEC?

Clemson was in a bunch of tight games in the ACC the first playoff title season. Lost to Pitt at home, almost lost to NC State and Louisville at home. Had to win at a good FSU team that year, before their slide as a program. You recite a talking point but anybody who watched those games objectively saw good teams playing.

Plz keep in mind during CLemson's playoff run, they were playing two SEC teams or a SEC team and ND out of conference. If they split those games, they don't make the playoffs. if the ACC is soft, so is SC, Texas AM, ND, Auburn etc

good.

Clemson's always been an alternative kind of place. Joining the SEC would give it a sameness. Another brick in the wall.

Clemson going to the SEC would be like Michael Jordan going to the Utah Jazz after beating them twice for natties. It seems unnatural.

I believe Dabo thinks joining the SEC is a cuck move. i don't want the taint of SEC on Clemson.

We just landed a 5 star player out of Alabama tonight.

What about when Dabo begs to take the Alabama job in a few years?

seems like the begging will go the other direction.

Dabo had a chance to go back to Alabama years ago when he was still an assistant at Clemson. He stuck with Clemson for the same reason Danny Ford never went back to Alabama and still lives in Clemson.

Alabama natives who get out of there never go back lol

Where would Clemson be without Alabama? Even your damn rock exists because of an Alabama grad.

Seems like CLemson will be at least as good as LSU the past two years or Vanderbilt.
