if you want to argue that college football is in major trouble out there, then you've definitely got a case.
Agree,PAC 12 is in severe trouble.
Revenues aren't close to Big 10 and SEC schools and the
main pipeline for their talent(California) isn't coming
close to producing the amount CFB players that it once did.

I’m a high school sophomore. I live in Georgia. At my school, the only thing people care about it the NBA, if they care about sports at all.
If people my age watch football, nobody watches college, it’s always NFL.
Something you'll learn as you get older, anecdotal evidence does not prove a truth.

That happened over three weeks ago. Nobody is talking about that anymore.
The newest story is Durant talking about playing with LeBron in a bad way.

Might not be true where you live, but kids in Metro Atlanta spend their Saturday playing Fortnit, yelling RIP XXXTencacion, and saying free 6ix9ine
So do a lot of 6 and 7 year olds. Football may be a little to complicated for your friends.

College football peaked in 2011.
That was the most entertaining season ever.

I get you don't like what he's saying, but....
You better listen to what the kid is saying.
It's getting harder and harder to get students to the games and it's only going to get worse

Not really.
The NC was one of the lowest rated games in the last 10 years and not many suprises or upsets.
While I don't believe it "peaked" in '07 it was certainly one of the most entertaining seasons I can remember with multiple upsets and multiple teams in contention all the way til the last week of the season.
KENTUCKY of all schools beat the eventual NC.

OK - Couple of things.
The oldest millennials are well into college at this point, so if we're talking about high school kids, different generation, and has been for awhile. Hell, there was even a couple of write ups about a Trump bump among Gen Z in elections. Which should tell you two things - the oldest members of the next cohort are already old enough to vote, and they are a bit different than the generation before them. So I wouldn't be so quick to generalize.
And the other thing is that, while there may very well be growing disinterest among Gen. Z in college football, there are way too many variables at play to assume that that alone is some kind of smoking gun. In fact there is much more evidence that the game-day experience, with its ever-increasing security and ever-longer game times, just doesn't compete well with watching a game at home for more and more people every year.
Sure, the NCAA and universities should pay attention to rekindling more interest in college football among the youth, but that's hardly the biggest issue when it comes to game attendance. Not to mention that college football is currently making more money than it ever has, and there has to be a ceiling somewhere. While things may have seemed to peak in the 90s-2000s, financially, that is completely incorrect. And sooner or later, there will be a bit of a return to the mean. I don't see how there couldn't be, considering how bloated this beast has become.
