That is funny. Is this the same Christopher Smith that rated the top 10 running backs in the SEC not even 2 months ago (Dec 13,2014) and Fournette was not even on the list? That Christopher Smith?

LINK

So now he says "don’t be shocked if Chubb fails to top his ’14 yardage total", and 2 months ago he was saying " next season Chubb will be a Doak Walker Award candidate and could even become a Heisman finalist"

You are talking about the same guy w/ a 4.35s 40, right? It hard to find daylight when every single person in the backfield knows the ball is going to you. If we ever find a QB defenses will respect, I think we be seeing more break away runs from LF.

Auburn gonna run the ball as much next year? My guess would be no but it's possible.
RBs should get similar carries. JJ will pass more than Marshall and run much less.

He did not show it much last year. Having straight ahead speed is one thing, have the speed and balance after contact is another.

Why is Jovon Robinson not on the list when an Auburn running back has led the league in rushing back to back years?

Its returning backs I believe.

Jovon > Henry

You don't actually believe he runs a 4.35 right?

Probably not. I expect Chubb to lead the SEC in rushing next year

Chubb is the best back in the SEC. Followed by Buga and Henry. Then followed by the Arky guys

Bmy nailed it. I would take LF over Henry through.

Hurd just doesn't wow me physically. He plays hard though

I kind of have Hurd in the N/A category because of the abortion of a run blocking line he had. Also don't think he's nearly the home run threat some of the others are.

Runs really hard though. He and Kamara will be a good combo as long as Kamara doesn't get pouty and start bad mouthing your program to recruits.

Henry is soft as peanut butter and Fournette is overpaid and overrated.

Henry takes too long to get started but I definitley wouldn't call him soft. He looks for contact in the open field. He's just too tall and clumsy at the LOS. If we were smart we'd run a lot more stretch and toss plays for him next season.

No way is Henry soft. I think what separates Chubb from Fournette and Henry right now is his ability to make something out of nothing. Side to side quickness and instant acceleration, plus outstanding balance and good instincts help a lot with that.

But no, Henry ain't soft.
