Way back in 2019 when we cared about graduation rates, Saban’s rate was something like 80%+. I bet that’s pretty good compared to most “dynasty” coaches.

Hell, my dog could graduate with honors from UAT so the 80% graduation rate is meaningless.

Four of Saban's 6 national championships at Bama were QB'd by a quarterback that was a Heisman finalist at some point in his career.

Yeah. You don't win without good QB play.

Give those coaches credit for spotting it. Especially Walsh and Reid. Those Qbs weren't the overall no. 1 so others could've taken them.

Thank you! That is a hell of a compliment. It will upset a lot of people if true though.

I personally don’t mind him mentioning LSU. LSU is part of his story.

And just like Bryant's time at Kentucky, Saban's time at LSU is a footnote in Alabama's history. Before long Saban's time at LSU will be the same sorta sports bar trivia question.

Always has been a class act even though he was at Bama. Football is better for him in it.

This would drive me nuts if I was an LSU fan. What could have been!

Saban could have had 7 or more natties at LSU, that's wild.

In my dreams I guess.

No, but Bryant did give Kentucky their first conference championship, which relatively speaking is a bigger deal than Saban's national championship at LSU.

A couple more years and just like Bryant's time at Kentucky, Saban's time at LSU becomes nothing more than a trivia question.

The 2 things I loved the most about Nick Saban was the way he completely emasculated and dominated LSU and the sweet sound of its fans lamentations as their tears flowed down.

That man filled my soul with happiness and contentment the way he made the corny dogs cry.

It is crazy how so many supposedly banned accounts show up to talk shite in threads at the most opportune time.

Yeah, pretty much. In 1950, he led Kentucky to an 11-1 record(still the best record in school history) and ended #1 Oklahoma's 31 game winning streak in the Sugar Bowl.

If Saban is the GOAT then it is because he coached at the last football and factory in America. At UAT Saban had an unlimited and unsurpassed budget for overall payroll, NIL, recruiting, gold-plated facilities and most importantly no pushback from the admissions office or the Bama administration. Bama football is only very vaguely associated with the University of Alabama and for all intents and purposes it is a totally autonomous organization. So beware and be forewarned that the drive-thru window guy at McDonald's could win 9-10 games every year at Bama.

Have you hugged your tree today? I heard that Cal will give frequent flyer miles to all the players as they traverse the skies for 24,000 miles for their 5 road games this season. That's the equivalent of flying around the world.

The things some teams are willing to do just trying to stay relevant in college football. Enjoy your flights.
