Rev. Colenzo Hubbard had some pretty good days in Alabama's Bryant-Denny Stadium in the early 1970s as a starting middle linebacker for legendary Crimson Tide coach Bear Bryant
quote:

That's when Hubbard, executive director of the Emmanuel Episcopal Center in Memphis, received a $10,000 donation for the center from Alabama coach Nick Saban in Bryant-Denny's north end zone in Tuscaloosa.

He told Cooper Bateman he'd have first crack at jack LB and if it doesn't work out he'd be QB

When Saban visited Memphis to speak with the local Alabama alumni chapter in May, he met with Hubbard and heard about the work being done at the Emmanuel Center, which focused on after-school education for underprivileged youth.

Part of the $415,000 Nick's Kids donated to charities. Over $2M since he's been at Bama to local charities.
