Meh, it may be Bleacher Report but it is Lars Anderson. The guy is a legitimate, well respected author.
I agree it was kind of a puff piece but if you can pick through that and just look at the mechanics of it all it is pretty interesting.

Does the article detail how bammer is able to hand out expensive cars like the one derek henry posted on his twitter account last year? That is the real key to Sabans recruiting machine

No, it does not cover that or how they can hand our expensive cars to the gf of recruits or players after the gf mom goes to twitter or facebook to beg for one. So, I have to call double BS on the article. The author did not do his homework

If Saban and the Alabama hit machine goes four deep into a recruits back ground...you know, to really understand what makes the kid tick...why are so many processed? Why do some have issues?
No doubt, Saban recruits. But his results on the field and his work ethic does more for recruiting than some recruiting process.

Jeebus guys, cut through the fluff parts and just take it as an interesting look inside the recruiting process at a big time recruiting power.
I didn't walk away from this awestruck by Saban, I walked away thinking that this was probably generally how most schools operate and how it was interesting to read about the mechanics of it all.
