Russell Wilson played through all 4 years of his eligibility (he redshirted as well).

Johnny is a redshirt sophomore this year.

I give the linked article as well as this thread one out of a possible five jizz jars.

His lack of accuracy was exposed TTs because a team can man up the WRs and still let a LB shadow

In the NFL they took away Tebow's run threat, he was forced to throw

Good read, but I think the author is over-simplifying. Does Manziel scramble because he's incapable of passing from the pocket, or does he scramble simply because he can? And yeah I'm over-simplifying too. But he's a better pocket passer than he's given credit for. Ask the pigs.

That said, I have no idea how he'll do in the NFL. He may be the next big thing or he may be a bust - no idea. I'd love to see him replace Romo, though.

A QB by the name of Fran Tarkenton comes to mind more so than either Russell or Flutie. And he had an extremely successful NFL career. But as noted, Manziel has only played 12 games & won nothing yet. This coming season will have a lot to say bout how his draft status works out. I'm pulling for anyone who lit up bama with 20 points in the first quarter.

The NFL twitter posted this article, and Johnny retweeted it. Awesome.

This is great news!!

I hope everyone who advises Johnny reads that article and confirms it with other NFL guys.

I will happily take two extra years of JFF in maroon.

Here is McShay calling him the ninth pick in the draft.

He may be overdragted but some teams are going to fall in love with him.

Every QB looked like a future pro bowler against us.

Take Gary Nova (Rutgers) for example. He completed over 70% of his passes against us, while throwing for 5 TDs and 0 interceptions. He was average at best against everyone else.

Maybe I'm reading too much into your comment, but why do some folks want to see Johnny fail? I always have a hard time understanding the enjoyment of maligning players/coaches from other programs.

Don't get me wrong--football or otherwise, JFF & the Manziel family will be fine. I just find the under-lying "here's hoping he fails" attitude odd. Again, I could be wrong about motive.

Just a bit over the top, but I liked this comment in the linked article:

"The NFL and I have never seen anything like Johnny Football."

Amen. I sure as hell never have. The entire season was filled with "WTF did he just do?" moments.

this is really the truth. Whether 31 NFL teams think he'll be a bust, someone will take the chance. He's a potential marketing goldmine.

And while personally I'm not sold he's suited for the NFL, I do believe he'll go after this year.

That is all fair. I don't think it is fair to compare JFF to Wilson and say Wilson was more polished and such because JFF was just a freshman this past year and has a lot of time to "polish" before the NFL would be there.

I want to see A&M fail....therefore i want to see Johnny Turnover fail. It's simple math.

Plus...he's a douche

All I want is two years dammit. I wouldn't let him stay his senior year because my BAS still fears that curse, but I hope someone tells him he could be a first rounder "if only he would stay and mature one more season."

I am not going to get my wish..
