Kerryon Johnson and John Kelly both are running drills but didn’t run the 40. (???)

They may not have done well with straight line speed. IDK. Players skip certain drills more and more these days.

Not shocked Kerryon is skipping the 40. That isn't going to be his best event anyways. He has never had great top end speed. He'll run it at his pro-day in a more controlled environment. Will probably be high 4.5 to 4.6 if I had to guess.

But any talk of drafting a rb top 5 is silly.

You say this but the last 3 top RBs in the draft have lead their teams to the playoffs within the last 3 years. Gurley, Zeke, and Fournette.

The Browns would be dumb to take a QB 1st overall. None of these guys are a sure thing. Get Barkley and then draft one of them at 4. Even better, draft Barkley 1st then trade 4 for a mid 1st and a 2nd. Draft the best olineman available and sign Cousins or Mccarron.

The browns coach seems to be enamored with him and vice versa. I fully expect them to sign him. The only question is if they draft another qb as well.

I know he is, but boy is that going to turn out to be yet another browns QB disaster. How can he possibly think he's the answer?

So they draft another QB like they've done forever? Or maybe draft Barkley and build around him instead.

Look, the Browns are in need of a GOOD QB, a serviceable backup type like McCarron is just going to be another in the long line of disasters they've had at QB the last 2 decades now almost. It doesnt fix anything to put him back there.

They have so many picks. They can go get their back and QB.

I get that, but they need to build up their trenches first. I don't think it's crazy at all if they choose Barkley then go for an interior lineman on either side of the ball. And they have the most salary cap of any NFL team.

Not saying I've for sure watched Barkley more than most/all people on this board, but I probably have watched more than most.

His Frosh and Soph season i loved his game. I was not as impressed his junior year, but his OL this year was not good at all. OSU's DL was in the backfield on every play. However, the last 2 years he had a below average OL and still made holes for himself.

I don't think he is better than LF or Zeke, but I do think he is right in that range of skill coming out. Who knows if he will perform, but he clearly has the potential to be a top back and should be drafted top 10

They've been building in the trenches. Their dline is really good and young and their oline is one guy away from being top half of the NFL. The browns are not that far away. Haslam loves Jackson and doesn't want to fire him. Making him start a rookie qb because you drafted him in the first round would lead to jacksons firing. Mccarron knows the system and is a very good qb.

You don’t know that at all. A “very good QB” is a top 10 QB and MCarron hasn’t played nearly enough to say that.

I’m sorry if you’re a Browns fan, but the Browns are going to continue to be shitty for years to come.
