Who has broadcast rights?

originally it was a home game for us, but to get out of the Big 12 a year early, we agreed to go to Michigan this year.. so FOX has it this year

2024 @ Michigan
2025 @ Ohio State
2026 Ohio State
2027 Michigan

I’m thinking those last 2 might get canceled.

I would be ok with an FCS school in week 1. A warm up game to fine tune stuff. Would be better if we could have a preseason game. After that, 9, heck even 10, conference games and another P4 game. 12 team playoff means it's time to build resumes and not be scared to lose a game or 3. It made sense with a 2 or 4 team playoff. No more.

Arkansas plays Oklahoma State and Auburn plays Cal. Not headliner OOC games, but Arkansas will probably be a road dog in Stillwater and Auburn-Cal will probably be competitive for a half or two and a half quarters before Auburn pulls away.

37.7 is the AVERAGE margin of victory in games involving top 25 teams so far this week and you’re telling me next weeks games are atrocious?

Yeah I still haven’t officially looked up what highschool from Tennessee we are actually playing but I’ll be in the dove field and listen on the radio. Next weeks slate is pure trash.

Why is everyone scared to schedule a quality opponent with a 12 team playoff? I wish they would ban FCS games.

The season is now longer. I don’t see a reason to do it honestly. The goal is getting into the playoff. Schedule cupcakes and try to limit injuries. Odds are that a 2 loss sec team is making the playoff every year. A 3 loss team will be on the bubble.

12 team playoff decided in 2023. 2024 schedules were set well before that.

And why are people against a 9 game SEC schedule?

Probably will go there soon.

In the 4 team playoff era it would not have benefitted the SEC to do that. Also teams want 8 home games every year (or at least 7 and 1 big neutral site) for money.and season ticket holders. When it’s your turn for 5 SEC road games you won’t get that. Also SEC wants to negotiate more money from TV deal if they go to 9 conference games. Not sure if they can do it mid contract but they should try to use it as leverage. .

Furman went 10-3 and lost in the quarterfinals in OT to Montana. Finished ranked #7. Their second straight top 10 finish.

Nichols went 6-5 and lost 35-0 in the 1st round. Finished unranked. They went 3-8 the year before.
