That's a good theme. Keep it classic.

Everything ABC and ESPN does is lame

Music sounds like the opening theme to an 80s TV show like Falcon Crest or something.
And whorn still doesn't have an orange facemask.

Honestly, I figured ABC was going to choose the wokest female country star they could and make a go of it. So honestly, this isn't that bad.

That's sort of the point. The CBS theme song was one of the most 1980s things ever.
Why so many people on here are complaining, I have no idea.
ESPN finally got someting right.

If you ever want to know who on SEC Rant is under 25 years old, just come to this thread and find the ones that don't like it.
That's exactly right. SEC fans griped about losing the CBS theme song, and ESPN apparently listened and offered something similar. The nostalgia and tradition is lost on the young dudes on here and they're pandering for positive reinforcement with "ESPN sucks" comments.

Sounds like a cheesy 80’s sitcom intro
ABC/ESPN had a real chance to do it right - and we get this ....
they couldn't even give us the late 70's funk version of it - they had to go full late 80's -

Would you rather it have been a super trendy trap music beat with the annoying hi hats?

Should have gotten Pitbull involved!

You guys just need to get a copy of Lynyrd Skynyrd's greatest hits and let this other stuff go.

Final thoughts
(a) speed this one up
(b) give me back the ABC theme from 2000

It should be this one:

quote:no - they should've brought back the ABC Sports brand in full - and used the BCS theme intro - considering how many now current SEC teams own a BCS crystal ball trophy - troll the other 'conference' -

I hope they up their picture quality. Games look terrible on abc compared to cbs, nbc, fox

Does anyone remember when ESPN rolled out Taylor Swift for the intro to Saturday night football.

Sounds fine to me.

It's not memorable or catchy. Definitely cheesy. I didn't like it in the early 2000s either.
You can find me belting out the CBS music at random times of the day throughout the entire year. It is THE music of SEC football.
ESPN should have paid a bit more and bought it from them.
And now I have to watch Auburn play Oklahoma and Missouri. And I can't call my family in Louisiana to talk shite about the Auburn-LSU game.
