F+ Ratings combine Brian Fremeau's FEI ratings with Bill Connelly's SP+ ratings in equal parts. Overall team ratings (F+), offense ratings (OF+), and defense ratings (DF+) represent each team and unit's standard deviation above or below average. FEI ratings (FEI) represent the per-possession scoring advantage a team would be expected to have on a neutral field against an average opponent, based on opponent-adjusted possession efficiency data. SP+ ratings (SP+) are tempo- and opponent-adjusted measures of college football efficiency based on play-by-play and drive data designed to be predictive and forward-facing. Team records (Rec) represent results against FBS opponents only.

Did not use 2020 as the lack of inter-conference games screwed with all the advanced metrics

SEC Rank (Avg Rank) (High Season, Low Season)
1. Alabama (1) (1, 3)
2. LSU (8) (2, 13)
3. Oklahoma (9) (4, 23)
4. Georgia (15) (2, 47)
5. Auburn (18) (1, 65)
6. Texas A&M (19) (2, 41)
7. Florida (24) (5, 50)
8. Mississippi St (29) (5, 56)
9. South Carolina (33.5) (9, 79)
10. Missouri (33.9) (12, 70)
11. Texas (36) (17, 62)
12. Ole Miss (37) (3, 92)
13. Tennessee (43) (10, 77)
14. Arkansas (47) (7, 105)
15. Kentucky (63) (20, 92)
16. Vanderbilt (67) (32, 111)

And yes, these can be quirky when comparing #1 to #2 or #7 to #8, but in general they do a pretty good job of placing teams each year, and they are one of if not the best way to look at 1-127.

Cool, so we're in the new big 6 without our best recent season included in the data.

How could LSU 2019 not be ranked #1?

Every season except 2017 in the Top 25 (#41). Solid.

Deep down we all knew State had a better football program than Texas. Good to see the numbers backing it up.

2016 - #51 Texas > #56 State
2017 - #19 State > #28 Texas

Wrong...once again. Win the SEC and we'll talk. Hell, start with winning your division.

Honestly can't wait for the cowbell complaints from the Texas fans after their first L.

Include 2020 and I see Alabama and then 3-4 schools all averaging being around 8-10th.
