It's not so much a compliment to LSU, as it is frustration on our part for underachieving over the years.

LSU is right where they should be IMO. We've shown we can win with a very good defense, suspect QB play, and a great running game. Our defense will be better than last year. Our running game will be equal to what it was last year. Our QB play is the question mark. Cam Cameron will show us what he's worth this year but if you know who our previous OCs were during the crap QB years, I love his chances.
The fact that so many other teams are breaking in new QBs too helps us as well.
You're getting upset that people are saying you're too high but it's because you rely on offense and you're losing your three most important players there. You haven't shown you can rely on defense at all. It's preseason rankings anyway BEFORE spring practices, etc. No need to get so upset.

I don't think any Ags have said otherwise.
I'm more interested in what we do on the field than I am what the Rant thinks we deserve/don't deserve.

From what you saw of the TRUE Freshman QB that...
1. Came in and produced a 99 yard game winning drive on a nationally televised stage in front of 90,000+ fans in stadium. Plus the millions watching at home, when just a year ago he was playing in front of a few hundred fans tops.
2. This same true freshman quarterback had about a month to prepare to face a top 15 Iowa defense for his first ever start(which just so happened to be a bowl game also)
3. The kid won the fricking game.
Now what does A&M's new quarterback's resume look like?

There will be a drop off on offense but we have adequate replacements at the skilled positions so I'm not worried. We will put up points. Defense should be improved as well over last years abomination. #weaintgotnoworries
