Kinda reminds me of 2013 SEC with a litany of productive QBs and rebuilding defenses

To say that these things are completely unimportant is naive. While these "fun" off-season rankings may not be as important as the rankings after a few weeks of football, they still shape and influence the perception of teams. With the "playoff" spots being decided by a committee, untied to any actual formula, these perceptions are more important than they have been in previous years.

Say an un-ranked team, Ole Miss, goes 11-1 and Michigan State goes 11-1. Of course M-State will get in because of previous perceptions.

So, while often things work themselves out on the field. There are times where these "meaningless" rankings actually matter.

LSU bragging about a last minute come from behind win over Arky at Tiger Stadium?

LMFAO!

Considering LSU gets SEC east cupcakes they will do okay, and LSU will play on Thanksgiving and like it!

Jennings is a stud. Chip wanted that kid badly. He was his only offer.

Bragging?

Nah.

Simply stating that that is impressive for a true freshman quarterback making his first collegiate appearance in a situation like that and thriving.
