This article shows Brandon did nothing wrong.

I don't read it that way at all. They obviously asked Miller if he knew the gun he delivered was going to be used to shoot at the victims. He said no, and they had no way to disprove his statement.

They obviously asked Miles if he knew Davis was going to shoot the victims. He said no, but they are using the fact that Miles had his girlfriend leave the area as evidence of Miles' intent. Seems pretty thin to me.

It appears to me that Miles and Miller did the exact same thing: participated in providing a gun to the shooter. The police/DA didn't believe Miles story about his intent, but they were convinced by Miller's story that he had no intent.

Its almost like knowledge of the situation is vital in determining intent

How did they do the same thing when Brandon never touched a weapon? ESPN viewed the video and that’s where they wrote the article from. It didn’t come from either side.

If what’s in that article is true about the timeline of events, what happened etc… a lot of people owe Brandon Miller an apology.

Now I know that won’t be a popular opinion on this site because you guys don’t actually care about the truth.. you just want to destroy Alabama and Miller.

What this also shows is what a hack job Joseph Goodman and Al.com did with their original “opinion “ pieces.

The key line in this story for Miles is that he gave his friend his gun for protection, not knowing he was going to start shooting at someone.

The fact that the Jeep pulled in behind Miller, with lights off, sounds like the driver of the Jeep was looking for a confrontation.

The trial will reveal more, but it’s going to be interesting

I think they could have easily used the text to Miller as circumstantial evidence to prove his knowledge, but they chose not to. In opposite, they used the circumstantial evidence against Miles.

Both Miles and Miller played a part in providing a gun to Davis. What exactly did Miles do different than Miller?

So miller gets blocked between the Jeep and Bradley's car and had just recieved the text at most a few minutes before pulling in while driving on a crowded street.

Very possibly he didn't see it and even if he did it's very possibly he didn't know exactly what Miles meant or that he was serious.

Then he is blocked in and can't leave by the time he may have understood it.

But let's throw him in jail. Makes sense.

They had been at a bar clearly drinking. Getting a sober friend to pick you up instead of driving drunk seems pretty normal.

Do college sports teams have like a frat/new boy culture with freshmen and upperclassmen? The whole thing with Miller taxiing Miles around sounds like what upperclassmen brothers do with newboys.

No one owes them shite. Victim mentality.

Miller and the rest all need to be in jail. Miller knew what he was doing.

1. Was involved in and/or witnessed the initially confrontation

2. Was with and/or conversed with the shooter after the initial confrontation

3. Acted on his comprehensive knowledge of the situation and took steps towards getting the gun to that location

4. Physically handed the gun to the shooter

5. Informed the shooter that the gun was loaded with one in the chamber

If you cant see the difference, I don't know what to tell you

Knew there was an altercation, gave the gun the Davis and moved away!

Miller meanwhile sat in his car because he had no idea what was happening and almost got shot himself.

It’s pretty obvious what the difference is

They lack evidence of intent for Miller. They can’t pull it out of thin air.

Exactly. The boyfriend seems like the agitator in this whole equation. He pulled the weapon first and then he pulls behind Brandon Miller and blocks him in then he shoots through Brandon’s car. This is definitely not a clear cut capital murder case. It may end up being manslaughter. These guys were threatened but it’s not like they went out with the intent to kill. Davis may have been a hothead but he was provoked to do use Miles’ weapon.

I get it. The cops/DA were trying to read Miles' mind and Miller's mind. They decided Miles was lying about his intent and Miller was not lying about his intent.

Based solely on what I'm reading here, Brandon Miller should not have been charged.

I'm not sure that Darius Miles should either; more has to be known to make a determination there.

If Davis can't make a self-defense justification, he should bring a toothbrush. He sounds like arrived in Tuscaloosa with trouble. You have to be careful about the company you keep.

The whole thing is as tragic as it was completely avoidable. Just ridiculous, really.
