Just want to put something out there for the rest of the SEC, this Texas team is super young, most of the talented blue chippers are either true freshman, redshirt freshman or sophomores. 2025 and 2026 will be even better. Just wanna get everyone ready mentally.

too early to say imo.. we should have 10+ in each of the next 2 drafts though.. 30+ over 3 drafts is incredible from where we were ..

I’m a little worried about OL

lose Banks + Majors
might lose Campbell + Williams

that’s a lot of starts

Probably would have if not for all the other teams that lost.

Or if Vandy was as bad as usual.

As expected, Texas is the only hope for the SEC.

It’s what being a proven brand brings to the table. Also bama has the best victory in college football. Plus nobody else is looking so hot outside of Texas and osu. Any other year I think they do drop more but this was a shat show of a week. Even with the loss to vandy what ten teams look better than bama? I mean look at the teams behind bama. Iowa st, Clem nd byu ole mess atm lsu Tenn Boise. Which of those teams would bama give points to? None, I think there are teams ahead of bama that wouldn’t be favored against the tide(looking at you Miami/penn st)

Look at the other teams. In a normal year there would be more deserving teams, but Bama has a great win and a close loss to a team that also almost beat Mizzou. They are where they should be.

It’s almost as crazy as Bama being a top ten team after losing to Vandy.

And what quality wins do these teams have?

I feel Arkansas deserves to be ranked

They have two close losses to good teams and a top 10 win

We beat the pants off of 5-1 ULM who just beat previously undefeated JMU. Big W!

Well y’all are still undefeated, so that quality win metric is not as big of an issue. It’s more applicable to teams that have lost.

Yep, if people thought it was bad with the few teams saying they had a claim on the 4th position, just wait until 10+ teams start claiming they belonged in the 12th spot.

And the teams that get ranked above an AQ and get left out aren't going to be happy either.

If vandy only can get 4 measly votes, how is Bammer ranked so highly by getting dominated by them?

Who below them are you betting to win a game straight up if played tomorrow at a neutral location?

They could lose to several of them, but I think they’d be favored against all of them.
