I've literally NEVER seen 1 Alabama fan say they want LSU to win to keep UCF fans off our backs

I think you are attempting to rationalize the up coming loss. LSU doesn't have the dominant defense and rushing attack they are used to having.
In the past LSU would just over power a team like UCF, but this is the least talented LSU team in the post Saban era.
UCF doesn't even have their QB and you are still scared.

The UCF -LSU game, much like Auburn UCF last year is essentially a can't lose game for Bama fans.
Either Bama fans, along with about 75% of college fans, will enjoy UCF losing and shutting the frick up.
Or, LSU loses and Bama fans and the rest of the SEC, can laugh at the Tigers for losing to a commuter school.

I live in Alabama and have not heard a single person mention the LSU/UCF game.

If you really think Alabama cares about UCF you truly don’t know anything. UCF will get some respect when they play a regular season schedule that’s respectable. Beating a team every year in a useless bowl game that the other team doesn’t even want to play in and most star players are skipping isn’t impressing anyone.

I wonder what percentage of LSU fans agree with your suggestion that pissing off your rival is almost better than your own program being successful. I suspect it's not a very large percentage in your corner. I can say with perfect assurance that I'd rather win a game than upset UT fans by losing one, and it's not even remotely close. The opinions of UT fans simply do not matter that much to me. But, then, I'm actually a fan of my team.
