If that was the case why wait until now. ND has been ahead of Miami for a month now. Consistently running 8-9 while Miami has been running 10-11.
The only reason to change it now is to get a result they wanted.

They didn't belong in the top 12, but the problem was last week's rankings giving false hope.

I agree that Miami should have gone in before ND, but what the committee did to ND seems like a huge middle finger. Why not have them behind Miami consistently?
