This is just unreal:

But the team didn't get smacked. Not in January by Alabama. There were a few mistakes, the coaches were a bit uninformed in their approach to the game but it is all good.

This is true, FWIW. The two major issues they had in their "approach" to the game (in no particular order):

1. Offense
2. Defense

Let's see what would happen is A&M played this schedule

quote:

VS Temple
Blowout win

quote:

At Michigan
Blowout win

quote:

At Purdue
Blowout win

quote:

VS Michigan St
Blowout win

quote:

VS Oklahoma
Do we really need to go there?

quote:

VS Arizona St
Blowout win

BYE

quote:

VS USC
21-point win

quote:

At Air Force
10-14 point win due to altitude and having to play against a triple option offense.

quote:

VS Navy
20-24 point win. Playing an option team the 2nd week in a row.

quote:

At Pittsburgh
Blowout win

BYE

quote:

VS BYU
Blowout win

quote:

At Stanford
Close game, but 7-point win. The only legitimate opponent on that schedule.

I would fuk'n jump for joy for a friggin schedule like that and bet everything that I own that Bama would go to the ship.

I tried getting on that "Irish" site the night of the National Championship game and was banned before I even got my user confirmation email.

The reason people try to beat up on SEC schedules is becasue of the Chatanooga's and Georgia States. If you have 2-3 rent-a-wins on the schedule, they will try to use that to bash your whole schedule, even if you have 3 top 10 teams in a row on it.
This is why i wish LSU would drop the in state schools and pick up bottom/mid tier BCS conference teams instead. They look much better on paper even though neither should be close. With the new playoff system, some fools will try to claim this very thing to keep it from being multiple SEC teams in the playoff.

Geez they're butt hurt and delusional. There is one maybe 2 tough games on that schedule for the upper half of the SEC. At Stanford and at Michigan because they're on the road. Mizzou would give OU a game at home so I would lay money that the upper half of the SEC wins that game, some easily, at home.

Bama, LSU, UGA, UF, USC and A&M would all have a chance to run the table with that schedule. Hell, Mizzou would probably go 8-4 with that schedule and we ain't good.

Notre Dame always has a solid schedule. I don't see the big deal.
