Used to be 7 wins. I’d be fine with that again however that means they will need to kill a bunch of these bowls. Again, I’m fine with that but that’s a lot of money and contracts you will have to change.

Question. Conf teams all share bowl revenue. Since ND isn’t in one they lose a lot of TV money right?

They did the same shite back in 1996 when they lost to USC in the last game which knocked the out of a BCS bowl. They then declined another bid at 8-3.

How many more teams will do this in the future when they are upset that they didn't get in to CFP? Not just because of no Head Coach. This could be the death of bowl games expect for the New Years 6.

I'm 100% ok with killing the participation bowls as well....there has to be a way to make the games meaningful somehow....pains me to say this, but maybe make it incentive based for the winning players....fat stacks.

Doubt the revenue from that one game matters much to them. They have Catholic money and NBC money.

Fans contribute to NIL collectives, students contribute via fees. Can players and team opt out if the fans and students have paid to watch them?

I agree if you turn down a bowl game shouldn’t be eligible for the playoffs the next year. This is a terrible precedent

Yeah, I suppose. Bowl games outside playoffs are meaningless now with the exception for practices for the freshmen.
