It only proves to have a chance to beat Saban you better recruit like him. Georgia has recruited just as well as Bama the last several years. So they had a chance. If you aren't in the top 5 every single year (and higher some years), you really can not beat Saban in a big game.
Georgia did what it took to have a real chance. The only other school who has recruited as well as Bama & Georgia is Ohio State. Nobody else has recruited consistently at that level. Those 3 teams will win the vast majority of championship until others join that club consistently.
I think Clemson is at risk of falling out of the top tier due to just recruiting really well.

It says that in order for him to win he MUST continually get the top players in the country. He has had a jump on every one else for years bc he is an elite recruiter but now we are starting to see others catch up. Soon it will come down to actual coaching and not just recruiting since the elite players will be more evenly spread. Saban will fall.
