conference season hasn't even begun and very few teams have been tested more than a handful of times. It's still very early for the RPI to mean anything

RPI, like any stat, means everything if you can skew it to make your team look good.

Except in this case we, and by we of course I mean Serraneaux, don't want the stat itself to necessarily have legitimacy, merely using it as a tool to lend credence to his argument. That of course being "Vols bitch."

RPI to this point means you played more quality lesser opponents basically. Florida's played three ranked teams, but our lesser opponents outweigh that early on in RPI. It balances out during conference play to give a more precise ranking.
