The standard of proof for the NCAA is much lower than in a criminal trial. The NCAA already has enough from the wiretaps, depositions and trial transcripts to give the whole athletic department the death penalty.

Real question: Has any team ever been sanctioned for TRYING to pay for recruits? If this phone call is all they have then Wade skirts through that courthouse with both middle fingers in the air. That kid didn’t even visit LSU. If they have something on Waters and Reid it can’t be presented in this trial. It’ll be up to the NCAA to open an investigation which I’m positive will happen over the summer. However, no one wants to turn LSU in more than its own compliance dept. I can promise you that.

You realize the FBI have other taps with Wade discussing other players. That conversation with that particular player was only brought up in the trail.
Sounds like Dawkins attorneys are trying to show how dirty basketball recruiting is, and they are using Miller and Wade to admit on oath their dirty part of the recruitment of players. Dawkins attorneys do not give 2 shits about Zona and LSU, and if their client is going down in this...so will Miller and Wade.
