And since you swept Bama you’ve lost 8 of your last 9 series including against LSU, USCe and Missouri. You finished 13-19 and lost to Vanderbilt in the 1st round who didn’t even make the tournament. You don’t deserve to be there.

And again, we’re 15-9 against the current field. We have 7 Q1 wins. Never swept all season.
There’s literally no stat other than Mercer having 44 wins (over half against Q4 teams) that says they should be in over us. None. You’re not being remotely serious about saying so when you compare resumes from top to bottom.
ETA:
And this is how Mercer’s season ended. To a team we swept handedly.

Yes, the LSU baseball season is officially over after the team failed to make the NCAA Tournament field. The Tigers finished the year with an overall record of 30-28 and a 9-21 mark in SEC play. Their season effectively came to an end on May 20, 2026, following a 3-1 loss to Auburn at the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Alabama.Season SummaryFinal Record: 30-28 (9-21 SEC)SEC Tournament: Eliminated in the second roundPostseason Status: Missed the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2011Current Status: The team has returned to Baton Rouge, and head coach Jay Johnson is looking ahead to the 2027 roster. For continued coverage and player updates, you can follow the team on the LSU Sports Athletics site.

Baseball America says the Horns are on upset watch... with a caveat. That caveat is if UCSB ace Jackson Flora is held back for a possible game 2 matchup with UT. I'm guessing he starts vs Tarleton making it a moot point.

Pretty funny. 5 non-SEC teams on upset watch. Guess that had to put at least one SEC team on the list for “balance.”

Yeah, not happening. And nothing about Oregan scares me enough to think Texas isn't in the CWS

At first glance (just got to the hotel) I think Auburn got the nicest draw.
They avoid UGA & GA Tech till the finals
They get UNC/A&M and I'm pretty sure with A&M's pitching injuries and depleted depth we can pencil in UNC in the first round in Omaha. Nebraska visiting in the Super doesn't really put fear in anyone. UCF as the #2 is good.
If they can have the discipline to save Marciano for game 2 in Omaha they might headed to the finals.

Go and smash Tech in the mouth. That would be great.

So apparently we wanted the afternoon game on Friday, TV told us we had to play at night. Auburn wanted the night game, TV told them they had to play in the afternoon.
ESPN is shite.
Ultimately shouldn’t matter so long as weather doesn’t push back games, but we went through this pre Covid when all of sudden we found ourselves playing a Saturday double header vs a rested 2 seed that evening.

I could see it if they hold Flora for game 2. I assume we’ll save Volantis for that game.
The downside for UCSB.
Tarleton has a good team and can beat them.
The upside.
If they can save Flora and beat Tarleton, they’ve got a legit shot to win the regional.
I’d save him. If they lose Game 1, then you throw him Game 3 as Holy Cross is terrible.
