Of course most folks will root for the underdog if not a rival. Always fun to see upsets. I have an affinity for OU softball though because Patty was a big influence in getting coach Walton into softball. He pitched for OU in college on the baseball team of course.

Another unforced error. How many different ways can we hurt our base running?
After Kai Minor grounds out on a check swing, Ella Parker draws a walk. But Kendall Wells strikes out after being up 3-0 in the count. And Parker gets called out stealing second because Wells blocked the catcher's throwing lane

Have you noticed we are watching early count strikes whizz by. It must be a strategy to force their pitcher to throw more pitches over course of game. Same in 1st, we seem to be told not to swing at early pitches in at bats. Wonder if its a strategy or just fluke?

Yes. I don't know if that's the strategy, but I've noticed. It's been driving me crazy with Pickering for a long time, and now it seems to be spreading throughout the lineup.

I've noticed we take a lot of good pitches. I doubt it's a strategy. We should be able to get pitch counts up because we can force pitchers to try to stay outside due to our power. That gets the pitch count up.

Agreed. It most certainly is for me. But I quit watching basketball altogether in the mid-90s
I used to go watch college BB with my grandmother and her friend quite a bit. I realized, at some point, I was only doing it to spend time with them (don't regret that part for a second) and wasn't enjoying the game at all.
