Rocky is not looking for a gotcha moment. He is clearly stating that Auburn instructed him that he was inedible, not the NCAA.

Just a second to give proof why this is needed.
I had a fishing customer for a while. Went on guide trips with me a few times per year for a while. His grandson was born with major disabilities. Could not walk or talk or do anything on his own. Bound to a wheel chair for all of his like. Kid was about 12 and was having 100-200 seizers per day.
Once he started on the oil, it reduced his seizers to one or two per day which for a normal person is brutal, it was a major life event for this young man. His parents were living in Georgia and could not legally get the prescriptions for him due to the state laws.
Bob moved his daughter and her family out west, I believe it was Colorado, so they could get the prescription for him and to improve his life.
My point being, Im not sure there are alternative things right now that are as effective as the oil for these particular individuals.

And, no matter what, the root cause is the NCAA rule making the kid ineligible.
Unless some evidence can be provided that Auburn decided to do this out of the blue and on their own, if Auburn is following the NCAA rules it is NOT Auburn that is making the kid ineligible, it is the NCAA rule.
No matter how much anyone wants to be pedantic about the wording of a subject line or a head line.

Just a guess? If they made an exception you would be surprised at how many players would be having seizures.
Doubt he's getting high off of this. And as long as it was diagnosed by a legit doctor and not a "green" doctor I think it would be OK.

So he's ineligible just because of a prescription...not because of actual usage?
He is likely to fail every drug test so AU/kid likely asked for guidance and heard back this BS
NCAA clearly needs to adjust the rules on this.

I hope Auburn goes to bat for this kid.

the ncaa isn't the one who determined cbd to be a schedule 1 drug, that was our dea. ncaa just bans all schedule 1 drugs across the board. i've taken several urinalysis between bama, ncaa, and usada... never once saw cbd as something they tested for. the cbd oil that epilectics take is not going to cause a fail for the thc metabolites they test for.

Petition
Here's the link to a petition for CJ Harris to remain eligible to play football while using the cannabis oil that has significantly improved his seizure condition. Regardless of your stance on legalization of marijuana, this treatment has worked for CJ. This petition probably won't have any real affect, but sign it anyway.
CJ is a good kid.

He should sue.
This is the root of the reason as to why he can't play. The NCAA and Auburn are both terrified of the lawsuit that would pop up if this kid had a seizure on the field. They know about his condition. They aren't taking ANY chances.
Sucks for the kid. I hope he finds a way to play

Obviously, one would think they exhausted all other available prescription meds before trying this. If this is documented, it seems the NCAA would grant a waiver. FWIW, the CBD oil we sell has been purified to remove 99.7% of THC, which while negligible, could still give a positive test.

you're really a pharmacist??? you don't refine shite out. charlotte's web, the strain used mainly for cbd oil, is only 0.3% thc. no coincidence, industrial hemp is legally limited at being 0.3% thc as well. it's hemp oil.

I was talking to Bamagrad. His point was irrelevant.

Not what I meant. if players can get a prescription for this, then I would think testing for marijuana recreational use would be impossible. Therefore, and awful lot of players would go doctor shopping for seizures, concussions, etc.

Nice link.
So he's ineligible just because of a prescription...not because of actual usage? What if he gets a prescription for an approved medication and uses that instead?
I'm not buying the story exactly as quoted.
You see this shite? This shite right here? ^^^^
This is another example of why everyone hates the Alabama fanbase.

All the dude wants to do is walk on and be apart of the team. The NCAA really is soul less what a bunch of assholes this should be a special exception

True, but the fact remains that he can play at Auburn if he uses a different medication. The headline made it out like that wasn't the case.
Not sure about this. The oil might be the only thing that works for his illness

By refine, I mean using only the flowers from their process. And, yes, I am a pharmacist, Walter white. So you can kindly frick off.

Absolutely ridiculous. The PED’s in the state at another school gets ignored, but a walk-in kid with a legitimate need is shite on. Can’t say that imsurprised though.
