Its kinda funny they care about civil rights but treat the athletes like indentured servants. Get off your high horse NCAA

North Carolina should sue. Ban any public dollars from going to the NCAA. Other states need to do the same. These are deranged and dangerous people hell bent on destroying America and it's values. They are waging a war and the people under assault aren't even fighting back.

I wish SEC schools would withdraw from the NCAA and start its own independent league... This is complete bs

I'd trade them
My $60k in student loans. I'm sure you'd switch places from that TAOC you're in.

2. It's 2016. Why the hell are people fighting for their right to discriminate?
I'm sure you're a great guy, but that's such a load of bullshite. The local ordinances that you defended discriminated against people who don't want biological males going into the lady restrooms on their property. Claims of "discrimination" are conversation killers. They shut down those who disagree with you as "bad" and make it such that you can ignore their voice. It's pretty damn illiberal.

The gays got marriage, which they should have... and now the people who made a career out of civil rights for gays have run out of work. So now they are just making shite up.
This sounds hilarious at first but it's actually accurate. The transgender issue was being handled just fine as a case by case problem at the local level.
Every single time it came up, it was handled adequately. Then along came Caitlyn Jenner and the issue exploded onto the national scene.

While I think HB2 is not so much wrong as it is pointless, I can't get over the NCAA grandstanding about anything. Telling people which bathrooms they have to use is wrong, but stealing from thousands of kids? No problem there.

That's pretty big on the men's basketball front as they typically host at least one to two sites for the NCAA Tournament in UNC or Duke's region.
I think it goes all the way back to the NCAA expanding the tourney in the 80's where NC schools damn bear start at home every tournament. Whoever had the highest seed among UNC, NC State, and Duke pretty much got at least to the sweet 16 without traveling more than a short driving distance (and slept in own beds).

If someone on an airplane complains they are uncomfortable with a Muslim on the plane with them because they might be a terrorist, the Muslim shouldn't be taken off the plane if they aren't doing anything wrong.
I see a lot of parallels with this. Only difference is the issue is race and sex vs religion and terrorism.
Here it is again with a few words changed:
If someone in a bathroom complains they are uncomfortable with a transgender in the bathroom with them because they might be a pervert, the transgender person shouldn't be taken out of the restroom if they aren't doing anything wrong.

I feel like all reason is lost in society today. That's something people say about every generation, but this discrimination thing has gotten out of control. I'm waiting on child molesters to claim discrimination on their sexual preferences soon. I mean, I can't even buy a fricking beer on Sundays in half the places in this state but I don't go cry to the Supreme Court about my right to party being infringed upon.

It's funny to me how people are up in arms about something that doesn't affect them because other people are up in arms about shite that does affect them.

It affects plenty of women when someone with a dick is using their restroom. I don't think there needs to be a law regarding it, but if you have a penis and use a women's restroom you're an a-hole.

So North Carolina won't let men shower or use the toilet in a female restroom and the NCAA cries discrimination? Get the hell out of here. I don't want to live on this planet anymore.
Translation, "I don't know what this is all about, but damnit I wanna be angry about it."

The point is that the most basic societal rules are being challenged simply because it's America and they can. I don't think that means they should in every case.

Is it not discrimination to discriminate against NC's laws and beliefs? As far as I know, we still live in a free country where states govern themselves as they see fit. Don't like it, get your arse out and move somewhere else. I hear Cuba is nice this time of year.
