This is deserved. They beat Auburn, who beat Alabama.

I saw we still have a flawed system but it will never be perfect.
Bottom line in my eyes: Alabama, Georgia and Clemson would of mopped the floor with them in a title game.
If Auburn was playing them in the title game it would of been different also.
Auburn didn’t get up for that game. Was more of a consolation game and they still almost won.
UCF had some skill no doubt, but not enough for the biggest stage

Cool. The NCAA recognizes like 23 or 24 National championships for Alabama. It's cool if you want to count this one for UCF as long as you count the 23 for Alabama.
Deal?

Good for them. It's not like they could've done anything more.

Technically, Samuel Huntington was America's first President.
The relevance of both facts (e.g., UCF natty in ‘18, President Huntington) is open to interpretation.

And Oklahoma won in 2003.

Does that mean Auburn can claim a championship game appearance?

Actually, if I am correct, that is the source that also shows Auburn with 5 National Title and Georgia with 6. It isn't an official record. That simply names everybody that any organization recognizes.

The NCAA does not award National Championships, btw. The recognize them, but do not award them. This is a record stating National Championships that are awarded by just about any publication.

I get tired of the "x team wasn't motivated" line. Did both teams not play on the same field? If anything, UCF could use the same line that their team was snubbed from the playoff, so therefore their motivation was down, too.

I don't think this takes away from Bama's season or title in the least. For me, the question isn't whether UCF would have won or not, it's did they deserve a shot or not?

But you are right, the system is still flawed.

How many does it officially recognize Bama with again? Asking for a bitter Barner Boog.

Could UCFhad beaten Bama? It’s possible that they pulled together and played above their level for one game and pulled off a miracle win for a national championship. It’s just one game. Anything is possible. A run of bad luck for your opponent and a run of good luck for you when you have a decent team. Yeah, it’s possible. It’s happened.

Is it likely? Probably not.

Maybe but Georgia would have beat the hell out of them.

According to that, Alabama a can now claim 21 national championships. We can add 1945, 1966, 1975, & 1977 to our list. And, it's official, Bama can claim 1941. No more laughing guys, it's legit.

Got 21? Bama does!
