Impressed with Bama yesterday.

I think Auburn, Arkansas, and Kentucky are the only teams at this point that appear to be locks for the Tournament.
There are 9 other teams that are in position to receive a bid if they have a strong performance in Conference play.
My gut tells me LSU, Florida, Alabama and Ole Miss will join those other three as the Top Half of the SEC in 2020.... unfortunately I think only 5 teams get bids this year. Tennessee is not trending in a good direction.

LSU’s 4 losses are to opponents who are a combined 45-9. 3 of those losses were by a combined 6pts
LSU actually scheduled a great OOC schedule and it will definitely help come seeding.
LSU just needs to get a few nice conference wins at the top and take care of the bottom tier SEC teams.

Do the AP polls follow the NET (since these have been released before official AP polls come out). I’m curious how close the AP and NET rankings are vs. college football playoff vs. AP

4 teams getting in.
Unfortunately, only beating Auburn during the SEC will help your seeding for the tournament.

You did not see my edit. The only team that will help you climb up the NET is Auburn.

The OOC has killed the SEC. Kentucky has 2 big time wins with 2 shitty losses. It shows in the NET.

Well we will lose 3-6 conference games this year with @UF, @Arky, and @UK more than likely with another 1 or 2 in there somewhere.

Beating Arkansas will help your seeding. If Kentucky lost to Louisville, they would be looking outside the fence getting in the tournament.

Not so sure about this.
LSU's losses are to the following (NET Rankings):
#45 Utah St.
#52 VCU
#63 E. Tennessee St.
#72 USC
The only resume-enhancing wins thus far have been against #48 Liberty and #69 Rhode Island.
I don't see a single win for LSU that will be against a team that the committee will seed anywhere from 1-8 in the Big Dance.... and there are multiple losses that will come to teams that fail to make the Tournament or are seeded 10-16.
LSU's resume is certainly not a deal-breaker. You need 11-12 more wins to lock up a bid with a minimum of 20 games left to play. Certainly doable. But some of those losses above are going to be to teams that also find themselves on the Bubble come March, and that's not good when the Committee starts to split hairs on who gets those final bids. Close losses to other bubble teams is not usually a resume enhancer.

Dude. The other day you were saying the NET rankings are garbage.

Not really. NET really likes road wins. Any road win against a top 100 NET team will move a teams needle.

NETs are garbage early on.... but with each passing day it starts to make more sense. Already, the NET rankings are starting to look like they are worthy of being used, and by the end of January, it will be a very good indicator of what will happen come March.

How can you say this? The NET rankings are like brand new.
