Sargent being so bad this year that Vandy didn’t even take him to regionals is mind boggling.
He didn't even make his team's top 5 for regionals?
He HAD to have accidentally (or intentionally) turned pro early or something because him not being on the team makes absolutely no sense

He hasn't played well all year. There's other players that can pick up his slack. All these guys are good.

Meanwhile, another UGA golfer on tour (Sepp Straka) won this weekend.
Just infuriating that we are lagging so far behind on the NCAA level when our alumni are representing on an insane level professionally. Our facilities are in tough shape relative to the rest of the conference; course is nice and fun to play but needs an infrastructure upgrade and the actual golf facilities are no longer stacking up to places like Bama, Vandy, etc.

Georgia is building a new facility as we speak. If I'm not mistaken, much of it is funded by former players. It'll be built around 15 minutes from Athens. It's called The Rose.

A few regional updates:

The Reno regional tourney (Texas, Bama, MSU) has been delayed 5hrs due to high winds. Expected to tee it up shortly, but should be an interesting follow in the still high winds as far as scoring goes. Know absolutely nothing about difficulty of course

It’s not a UGA facility, it’s a private course (yes, funded by our pro alumni) and small neighborhood 15 minutes from campus that they’re allowing UGA to use for practices. Won’t be open for use for another year or two.

Updates*
Reno didn't finish first round yesterday.
Amherst (Tenn/Vandy/OU/Arky/LSU) is on final round today.
LSU looks like the only SEC team so far that's a lock for elimination.

Well, after the wind delay yesterday, they have a snow delay in Reno now.

Good grief. Cold and windy is a tough golf environment.

Auburn is now 18 strokes ahead. Them boys are good.

For sure, not an easy course

Home course probably helps a bit.

Don’t disagree but 18 strokes clear is a different level of golf

Per the Reno paper the are where Montreaux Golf Club is (where the regional is being played) had wind gusts in the upper 80s yesterday

I guess, to keep it low and out of the wind, I'd just use my putter off the tee.

Bummer LSU is choking but the coach took the program from top 50 to a top 10 ranking all season in less than a year. Also has the top ranked European junior coming in, bright future.
