been there a few times ... they've played a few at ohio st's home course, also ... that one's an allister mackenzie design though ... karsten creek is a top 20 public course in the US, though it's only semi public ...

I think you're overestimating the desire of schools to host. Most don't even want to think about the hassle and expense of putting on one of these championships. And they damn sure aren't going to do it if they don't have a strong contender for the title
Maybe there are logistics involved that prevent this (like $$ or lack thereof) but would it be a viable option to play the championship at non-college home courses like, say, some of the PGA event courses? They obviously have the experience and ability to put on big tournaments.

I know for example that the SEC tournament has been hosted by clubs that isnt any teams home course. Greystone in Birminham for example

That would be the best , but also the most expensive option. Not sure the NCAA is gonna fork out the $ that the PGA or USGA does for getting a course championship ready, then shutting down play on that course for a month. That's super expensive

You'd think Robert Trent Jones would be all about it....if the price was right

Not shite going on at Augusta National in May, so...

Yep, the fact that AU put up 2 points yesterday was pretty good. If their normally reliable freshman, Mancheno, shows up, it's Bama/AU today.

Only way to win this was for Hodges to turn his match around but he just lost one to go 3 back. It's over now. Lost the championship match in both men's and women's golf.

it's been at the rtj in opelika/auburn once before ... they picked up the barbasol pga event soon after, though it's not there anymore ...

It was damn impressive, IMO.

Would need an implosion by 2 OSU players and for all 5 Bama players to play lights out rest of way. I.e., a miracle.

That hurts.

The best thing about Oklahoma State winning would be they’d stop talking about the curse of the #1 seed in Match play.
They’ve mentioned that an absurd amount of times over the last week and a half.

Incredible birdie by Eckroat, but Shore can play this game.

Okie State is killing it. They play this well it doesn't matter where.
Bauchou shot 7 under on the front

Still much easier to play this well at your home course when you know the course, the greens, etc.
Not saying Bama would win at a neutral course, but to say it doesn't matter is naive.

I'll bet any team in the top 10 would enjoy facing them elsewhere this time of year, and let the chips fall where they may,

So.... they know their own course?
It is a tough course, but they've played it 100's of times to Bama playing it maybe 10 by now? No comparison.
