I remember right around Texas losing the First Four game and Missouri getting upset that some people were doing the "is the SEC actually good talk" but I reckon that contingent got real quiet over the course of the weekend.

I was wondering too. But then I looked at the context.
The Big 10 was the higher seed in every game - literally - in the first round. Seriously, look it up. The SEC played pretty much chalk. One upset, Arkansas. One fold - Missouri. And a bunch of tight games from the rest. And the Georgia debacle.
I wondered the other way, about Kentucky. Because they came out hotter than a pistol, then got some kids hurt. Turns out - just a really good league.

If the Sweet 16 ends up being 7 SEC, 5 Big Ten, 4 Everybody Else then it really asks the question whether the Big 2 really should just take their ball and go make their own leagues for revenue sports.
