Just replayed it 3 times, go look at it. He clearly hits ball first, then their arms get locked up. The SM guy actually grabs at the Vandy guys hand to try to make the contact more pronounced.
ETA: there’s a reason the Vandy guy was so shocked at the call (although everyone over reacts), but he got ball

Most of these guys never played real ball, they have no clue the hands a part of the ball, and that any block ends a possible foul. Who is goofy enough to think a follow through is a foul? Vandy it seems trued to early to run out the clock, then when they got caught they froze like a deer in the headlights for 3-4 minutes then put in a gallant effort to no avail.
Refs letting way too many fouls go in the whole tournament so far. I can not stand when they try to change the way the call in the post season, just call the game the way it comes to you. I know the NCAA drums it into them, we want a fee flowing game, but I have seen two games going into the last few minutes today with a total of like 10 Free Throws for both teams. This hurts run and gun teams and helps those who like to play physical. It is what it is, good season Vandy, new coach has you guys o the up swing at least.

Bama basketball fans are something else. You can't hook the arm and prevent shooting motion. Doesn't matter how much ball you get. That will and should get called every time.
