Why did AU just yesterday declare him ineligible? I don't understand that part.
The NCAA just yesterday made the statement that something did happen with his recruitment at MSU. Auburn was informed his status was in question, Auburn applied to have it reinstated and it was granted.

Whether Cam did anything wrong or not, is anyone actually that niave to think that Cam didn't know anything?
Luckily, innuendo and conjecture don't hold much water.

This is ridiculous. So you can shop your kid around but have no consequences? I don't think we've heard the last of this story. Auburn will have to vacate the entire season before all is said and done. Bunch of dirty bastards!

So there ya go.
1. The NCAA decided that it couldn't prove Cam's involvement or knowledge. I believe this is a break in precedent but it is their rule and they can decide to apply it however they wish.
2. Slive decided, as per his discretion, to NOT enforce the SEC by-laws as they are written.
Aubies were correct on this and we were wrong.
I admit it makes no sense to me but there it is. Cant argue it anymore.

expect the NCAA to take lot of heat from this *ruling* ---once coaches and ADs get word of this decision and the precedent that it sets, it may get ugly...

There is no way the NCAA is going to come out and say its ok for you to shop your kid as long as he "didnt know". If thats the case recruiting no longer exists and its now become free agency and an amazing arms race. And basically the end of amateur athletics.

I heard Florida is always looking for artificial reefs maybe that is where TD can torpedo BlueTuna's Epic FAILED thread there.

Alfy Hill thinks the NCAA's tolerance of this situation is a load of crap.
Case isnt closed though, if everyone could go on the facts Auburn agrees upon, their wouldnt be an investigation.
NCAA likes revisionist history.

this is nothing more than a dog and pony show.
You think AU didnt work this out with the NCAA ahead of time? They would have to in order to ensure Cam would be ruled eligible so quickly.
Otherwise they risk him remaining ineligible while the NCAA looks in to it.
no way AU risks that.
Heres the real shite kicker. AU waited until they knew the NCAA ruling before declaring him ineligible. Had they dont this when the story broke like they were supposed to, he would have missed the last few games.

not sure if you have to be in the middle of a heisman campaign or a BCSNC run for these rules to apply or not.
