I gonna predict that he gets great press and folks love him...

...until they lose in the 1st round of the playoffs. Then it gets tougher.

They screwed this whole thing up and then panic hired a guy that would not have been a candidate for a single open P4 job or a bunch of G5 ones.

They didn't even have to do it. They could have made him the interim and given themselves a tidy little out.

This time NEXT YEAR...that guys gonna be out of a job.

2. Why would a long meeting be bad. It takes 10 minutes to say "Changed my mind. Im Staying."

Do I expect that there will be a meeting where the players are told before it is announced...yes.

But this will be the last thing in a sequence of things that will happen before an announcement.

To the point that I wouldn't be surprised if the announcement happens DURING that meeting. Players dont keep secrets like that. It will be public knowledge at that point.
