I'd hate to be a baseball coach. Too much out of your control, but a few missteps could cost you a game. Analytics may play out over a season, but they go out the window in big, high pressure games.
ND has been hitting the ball pretty well since I tuned in as the slide was being reviewed. Do seem a little over aggressive on the bases.

You hook the bag and swing around. You never let go of the bag with your hand. It's not hard. Also gives the added bonus of positioning your body further away from any potential tag.

Obviously giving away the out at third was terrible baserunning. But they’ve attempted to steal four bases. One they were called out on a bang bang play (that on review would have stood whatever way it was called), and the other three the bag was stolen easily. Notre Dame needs to stay aggressive on the bases.
