Both teams historically have performed better in road supers than home supers, albeit small sample sizes for each. So before Vol fans get their panties in a wad maybe this is a blessing in disguise?

Not sure Southern Miss winning a road super in 2009 will have much of an affect.

Hard to understand how someone can graduate from one school yet root for another school. Why not go to LSU or transfer if you couldn't get in out of high school? And if you are going to that school because of a niche course of study, it is hard to understand you not becoming a fan while you are there.

Oh, come on, this isn't remotely the same thing as being an LSU fan attending Alabama or an Alabama fan attending Auburn. I would venture to guess that most sports fans attending G5 or FCS schools are bigger fans of a major program.

As someone who did the same thing, I grew up an LSU fan because I watched the games with my grandpa who went to LSU. I never applied to LSU though as it was much cheaper to go to Southern Miss since I lived near the campus and was paying my own way.

LSU and Southern Miss are at completely different levels of competition so it doesn't really conflict much.

Florida - South Carolina
Vols - USM
LSU - UK

All at 3 Est on Saturday. This scheduling has been beyond retarded

Not to mention all 3 games are gonna be held in hot, humid areas where storms are likely during that time

It certainly couldn’t have anything to do with the Southern Miss affiliates on the Committee

Probably has to do with the fact Southern has better attendance numbers than y'all do in the regular season and the last time either of y'all hosted regionals.

IE Southern has more fans that show up than UT does.

None taken. I’m a big fan of all the work you’ve put in on the baseball threads. Much appreciated!

They also claim that Ole Miss and State quit playing them because they kept losing to them. I have a lot of USM friends, but all fan bases have delusional fans.

Which is hilarious because State has played them three times since 2014 and will again this year.

State has beaten them 118-31 over those three games and they were not that close.

Sucks for the fans. USM basically has a nice high school stadium. Two bathrooms two concession stands. Be ready for long bathroom and beer lines. Also they haven’t figured out this new technology people use called assigning seat numbers it’s general admission and it’s chaotic outside of chair backs. Their fans are extremely rude and arrogant for no reason. My advice to vol fans is stay home and watch on tv.

They have staggered start dates only to schedule 3 on one day at the same time. Brilliant

USM averages more fans per game than Tennessee and had a nicer park

Hmm. If they can’t play then the host should advance to Omaha.
