Absolutely, the way the scene skips back and forth showing that they are doomed to repeat their breakup endlessly and wind up here again is an excellent touch. That hallway scene give me nostalgia for a life I never lived for sure.

Just closed on a home for 336k that was initially listed and appraised for 405k. While that seems pretty good, it was bought 5 years ago for 275k. Blows my mind.
Bright side is I bought my house in 2021 for 185k and sold it for 259k

Also the problem with your college baseball analogy is that you can’t find a better product unless you go to the mlb. Where dudes who played college go to play. With women’s basketball I can watch a pickup game at the rec with better play.

It’s just one of them things that you want to like so that you can cheer your school/team on, but the product is so bad it’s hard not to hate. And when I say the product is bad I mean it’s really bad. Most of these college teams can be dismantled by 9th and 10th grade dudes.

It’s not bad if they do the following.
1. Trade Hendrickson for a late 1 or early 2
2. Sign Josh sweat to a 3 yr 60 m contract.
3. Sign milton Williams to a 4 yr 88 m contract.
4. Draft a guard with the late first or early second.
You would go from paying Hendrickson 32 m a year to Milton and sweat for 42 m a year and a top guard in the class.
I’d take that all day if they could pull it off. But they won’t.

I don’t think anyone here understands what people mean by the bengals are cheap with players.
The bengals don’t give guaranteed money to their guys. Because they don’t want to fork over the cash upfront and put it into escrow.
That’s why jamarr wasn’t signed this offseason. They offered him the right amount of money but not enough guaranteed.
They also won’t move money into the future and add void years. This way they don’t have to pay more later.
They also don’t trade players with time on their contract for 2 reasons. Dead money hits and also and I quote “we aren’t in the business of making other teams better” - duke Tobin.
